Dr. Yash Kapadia is a board-certified Prosthodontist. He completed his dental education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and his specialty education in Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. He was awarded the I. Kenneth Adisman Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics for the most outstanding resident at NYU. Dr. Kapadia achieved board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics in 2016 and became a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists later that year. He is also a Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists. He has presented research posters at global conferences, published articles in internationally reputed peer-reviewed journals, and given numerous presentations nationally and internationally. Dr. Kapadia has a well-established career in clinical practice, academics, and research in both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral education. He has held faculty positions at prestigious US Universities such as the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Temple University – Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, and University of Louisville School of Dentistry. In Louisville, Dr. Kapadia was appointed the Post-Graduate Program Director for the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics, where he mentored residents during their education. He is a member of various prosthodontic and oral implantology organizations, including the ACP, APS, ITI, ICOI, IADR, ADEA, and ADA. Dr. Kapadia reviews scientific literature for several national and international journals, including Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Journal of Prosthodontics and Dental Materials. He is now devoted to providing specialty dental care to his patients in private practice and continues to give back to dental education at Detroit Mercy Dental.
